EU index that calculates the possibility of using intelligent technologies in buildings
The indicator was created with the aim of calculating the level of intelligence of buildings, i.e. the ability to improve their energy efficiency and comfort performance.
The SRI index, defined in EU documents C/2020/6929 and C/2020/6929, is proposed as the European alternative to indicators such as BREEAM, HQE, DGNB, WELL and LEED dependent on private associations.
The SRI index, defined in EU documents C/2020/6929 and C/2020/6929, is proposed as the European alternative to indicators such as BREEAM, HQE, DGNB, WELL and LEED dependent on private associations.

The SRI calculation methodology is based on the evaluation of the smart-ready services that the building has or could use. These services are grouped into nine technical domains and seven impact criteria.
