Normalizer Module
The Normalizer Module of Contact Pro is used to check and correct all the addresses in the marketing database, through batch processes or on-line activities.
The presence of an incorrect address is one of the biggest and, unfortunately, most common problems, for those who perform mailing or data processing activities regularly. For this reason, Sysman has developed its own Normalizer Module, which may be integrated with the management of the Contact Pro database and constantly checks the data in your possession, transforming it into the right form on entry.
To normalize an address, its detailed form must be known to the system: for this reason Sysman, when developing this module, decided to concentrate exclusively on addresses in Italy, to ensure a perfect normalization function for its customers.
In fact, the data entered is compared with the information present in the reference tables to ensure that every address actually exists: this is only possible if the most common errors or misunderstandings typical of a non-normalized address are known.
The normalization process is a critical factor in handling large quantities of data, so Sysman elaborated three different algorithms that act in sequence to ensure the correct address is always returned, irrespective of whether any input data is missing or not.
Contact Pro checks data as it is entered and normalizes its form. Then a check is made to ensure that the place actually exists, according to the data in its possession, and then the actual address is checked, the most complex operation, to make sure that an existing one is always returned (or the inexistence of the address is signalled).
